Planned Parenthood Affiliates of Ohio, NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio, the Columbus Section of the National Council of Jewish Women and nine other pro-choice organizations join together to form the Freedom of Choice Ohio coalition.  FOCO hosts an annual dinner each year to commemorate the anniversary of Roe v. Wade.  This year's dinner on January 27th recognized Phyllis Shwartz for a lifetime of work to ensure the rights of Ohio women would always be protected.  State Representative Marian Harris and Columbus City Councilwoman Eileen Paley joined the celebration.

Cristina Page is author of How the Pro-Choice Movement Saved America: Freedom, Politics and the War on Sex and spokesperson for birthcontrolwatch.org. Page also is a consultant for several national pro-choice groups and her policy proposals have been adopted by NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the Washington State legislature, and the New Jersey State legislature.  Her op-eds have appeared in The New York Times, Chicago Sun Times, Newsday, Guardian UK, Tampa Tribune and the Baltimore Sun.
